9th International Workshop on Orchid Conservation and National Orchid Exhibition

The 9th International Workshop on Orchid Conservation and the National Orchid Exhibition is organized by the Soroa Orchid Botanic Garden with the support of University of Artemisa, the National Botanic Gardens Network, the Cuban Botanical Society, the National Botanic Garden, Ecovida, Sierra del Rosario Biosphere Reserve, Viñales National Park, Guanahacabibes National Park, Illinois College and Planta! - Plantlife Conservation Society.
General Program
The Workshop includes guest-lectures and oral presentations. During the gathering, there will a field trip to a protected area to explore Cuban orchid diversity in various ecosystems.
Call for oral presentations
The Scientific Committee of the 9th International Workshop on Orchid Conservation is soliciting proposals (less than 250 words) for oral presentations and workshops. Proposals must be submitted via email to 9taller.orquideas@gmail.com by October 15, 2024.
Space for oral presentations is limited. Proposals received later will be considered only if space is available. Thematic discussion workshops are an important part of the scientific program of the workshop and effective ways to achieve the objectives of the meeting.
Participants without oral presentations participating in the workshops will be considered on an equal footing.
Poster format will not be accepted.
Registration (paid in full by October 15, 2024) is mandatory to be included in the Workshop program and proceedings.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing via email to orchids@planta.ngo
A processing fee of 60 CAD will be charged for cancellations.
No refunds will be issued for no-shows.
Refund requests will not be accepted after November 10, 2018.
